Brief history: Some 60 years ago, a steam train ran from Wolphaartsdijk to Goes. The Spoorhuis was the terminus for this train. From here, it was a 100 m walk to the Veerhuis (now a restaurant), where you could take the ferry (the ‘veer’) to Kortgene. This characteristic house accommodates groups of up to 26 persons. Just behind the house, there are a number of log cabins to accommodate another 8 persons. Therefore, the Spoorhuis and log cabins combined offer accommodation to groups of up to 34 people.
